The final conference of the FARMWELL Project took place in mid-December in an old brewery in Leuven, Belgium. The Project Management Team (E40) developed an innovative approach to conference delivery, which included a farm visit, experience of a wellbeing training workshop, and bringing farmers and other stakeholders from each partner country to participate in the conference, providing a direct link between conference discussion and on-the-ground experience. The Conference explored challenges, outcomes and potential solutions in implementing social innovations for improving farmer wellbeing in six EU Member States. Activities also involved a poster session, a live performance by a professional actor, and ‘teaser’ presentations leading up to a ‘world café’ style event focusing on policy recommendations.
