The first CCRI Seminar of 2016 takes place on Thursday 7th January, at the University of Gloucestershire Oxstalls Campus (Room OX TC119).
The seminar is entitled “Agrifood studies in Brazil – coexistence and complementarities among agricultural development and the food security”, which will be presented by Professor Sergio Schneider.
Sergio Schneider is Professor of Sociology of Rural Development and Food Studies at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre, Brazil. He is currently an Academic Visiting Scholar at the Centre for Food Policy (CFP), Department of Sociology, School of Arts & Social Sciences at City University London, working on the project “Towards a Sociology of Food in Brazil and Latin America”, in collaboration with Professor Tim Lang.
The seminar starts at 12.15 and lasts approximately one hour. It is free to attend and everyone is welcome. If you do intend to come along, it would be helpful if you could inform Carol Markey.
