Statement from the CCRI following the EU referendum

Mindful of the uncertainty and turbulence which has been set in train by the results of the UK referendum on Thursday 23rd June, the Countryside and Community Research Institute is keen to affirm its continuing commitment to pursuing active and relevant research in close collaboration with its many trusted and longstanding collaborators and sponsors across the European Union, and beyond.

We firmly believe that the challenges facing society require approaches and solutions which transcend national boundaries, and we remain convinced that an inclusive approach, working in partnerships and providing practical and realistic solutions fit for application at local, national and European levels is essential, as we move forward.

We welcome and will continue to encourage active exchange and collaboration with our friends and partners in the UK, in all other EU member states, and internationally.
