Recruiting Now: Research Administrator – Apprentice

The CCRI is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual to the post of Research Administrator – Apprentice (1.0 fte). This post will suit a person interested in developing a career in research and/or research management and administration, either in Higher Education or other sectors undertaking this type of activity.

This is an exciting  opportunity for someone to both join the team as a  Research Administrator and study part-time towards a  Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA). As the Research Administrator you will support the operational backbone of our commissioned research projects and programmes. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals in research administration, finance, communications, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain research delivery and business management experience within a mission-driven academic and consultancy environment, contributing to research that makes a real difference across a variety of arenas.

The postholder will support the delivery of contract and grant funded research, internally funded research projects, and other research related activity; as well as providing general administrative support across the CCRI.

The role includes a very diverse range of research and administrative/management activities, which support research staff to enable them to focus on bidding, project delivery and other research tasks.  

Candidates will be able to work under the University’s Agile Working Policy, mixing working from home (if desirable) with office working given consideration to the needs of the post. You will normally be expected to spend at least 1-day per week in the office and attend all staff meetings, awaydays and other similar meetings and events.
