Next week (September 15th – 18th) the National Rural Conference will take place and researchers from CCRI will be making important contributions to the four-day event.
Organised by the Rural Services Network, the event is aimed at senior officers, network members, policy makers and those who work to deliver services in rural areas. It is an opportunity to hear from experts in the rural, network with colleagues, share and learn experiences and ideas.
On Tuesday 16th, Katarina Kubinakova will be presenting in the ‘Rural Affordable Housing and Planning’ session. Drawing from ongoing research, Katarina will present some preliminary findings from a project entitled ‘The impact of devolution on affordable rural housing delivery: Key risks and opportunities‘. The research has been commissioned by the Rural Housing Network and Katarina is working with colleagues Demelza Jones and Honor Mackley-Ward.
On Wednesday 17th, Aimee Morse and Pippa Simmonds will present in the ‘Data that makes a difference’ session. They will be drawing on findings from several projects which have employed participatory approaches to demonstrate how applied forms of research can deliver tangible policy and practice outcomes.
