The CCRI winter school is calling for papers from PhD and early career scholars who are thinking about the future of rural areas in the next decade. Over two days, the CCRI winter school offers the chance for presentations of new and emerging research in a supportive environment. With support from experienced supervisors and researchers from the CCRI team, this is an event that looks to foster a new decade of rural research.
We are looking for presentations that look forward to the future of rural scholarship, advancing this nexus of disciplinary interests through theory or applied research.
The guiding themes being considered are:

- Governance and Policies
- Economic and technological Challenges
- Quality of Life
- Smart Villages
- Landscape Transitions
- Rural Entrepreneurship
- Agricultural Transformations
- Rural Housing & Mobilities
