Prof. Janet Dwyer and Dr Amr Khafagy contributed to strategic development work within the Trade and Agriculture Directorate of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, on a number of tasks and themes broadly concerned with increasing the inter-connections between agricultural policy and rural development policy.
In 2021 they produced a report on labour and skills needs in the farm sector, drawing ideas from good practice in broader labour and skills policy. 2022 then saw the CCRI Team support work on combining farm and rural business data with a broad focus on Sustainable Development Goals; and contributing towards a unifying framework for agri-rural development policy, embracing the contrasting approaches of OECD agricultural and rural policy analysis.
