One of the challenges we face all of the time is how to communicate our sometimes quite complex research findings, especially when those ideas are still in development.

On Monday 10th June, Janet Dwyer will be presenting at the Commission for the Economic Development of Rural Areas (CEDRA) Conference, at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.

Janet Dwyer (CCRI) took on the role of leading the discussion on 21 May for a lecture delivered by Prof Allan Buckwell (IEEP) to an audience in Paris, hosted by the Societe Francaise d’Economie Rural.

The CCRI, in partnership with Central Science Laboratory, undertook a project for Defra to assess the impact of cross compliance in England.

CCRI’s Matt Reed is chairing a key seminar for scientists and policy makers entitled ‘Sustainable Intensification: the future of farming in Europe?’.  The seminar forms part of the Royal Society’s regular ‘policy labs’ series.

Dr Rhiannon Fisher (Royal Ag College & CCRI) has published a paper in the Journal of Rural Studies exploring the role of farmers’ social networks in increasing their access to information and knowledge relating to bovine tuberculosis.
