Next week, the Annual Conference of The Agricultural Economics Society will be held online on 29th & 30th March. Three researchers from the CCRI will be participating in a variety of roles.
Firstly, PhD student Theo Lenormond will present findings from his research (Impact of agricultural policy (1992-2020) on a Welsh lowland landscape (UK): A widening gap between farms under future Policies?) during one of the numerous ‘Discussion Paper’ sessions on Monday afternoon at 1:00pm.
Secondly, Mauro Vigani will chair a session of contributed papers on Monday at 9:30am. The session is entitled ‘Price Analysis I’ and covers topics related to farmland auctions, coffee producers, and grain price in the US. On Tuesday, Mauro will then present his own paper on Tuesday at 10:00am entitled ‘The cost of joining forces: the impact of collective organizations on milk prices and costs’.
Janet Dwyer, CCRI’s Director will also chair a session of contributed papers on Monday morning at 9:30am, the theme of which is ‘Water and Farm Viability’. On Tuesday, Janet will be addressing the conference delegates with her Plenary Presidential Address entitled ‘Policy Analysis for Rural Resilience – Expanding the Toolkit’.
