Founding Professor of CCRI, Nigel Curry, has been elected Chair of the East Midlands Regional Big Food Project Board. This has been set up under the auspices of Public Health England and the Soil Association, which is innovative as this represents the coming together of bodies in two different sectors concerned with different parts of the food chain.
The Board is a strategic cross-sector group representing all parts of the food system and it will be producing a strategy and action plan to orchestrate a healthier more sustainable and resilient food system throughout Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland.
Nigel is also a research associate for the Health Advancement Research Team (HART) and Visiting Professor at the University of Lincoln.
