CCRI’s Julie Ingram is to take the lead in a new advisory group which will equip UK policy-makers, industry, civil society and communities with the evidence they need to drive transformational change in land use.
The Land Use for Net Zero (LUNZ) Hub will not generate new research itself, but provide rapid access to findings from the best available, established and novel research from the consortium partners, synthesising and sharing knowledge across disciplines in easily accessible formats.
Comprised of a consortium of 34 organisations, including research institutes, farmers groups, advisory services, non-governmental and arts organisations, is led by the James Hutton Institute and the University of Leicester.
Julie will lead the Topic Advisory Group Enabling on the ground Transitions to Net Zero in Land Use for the Hub and in July the group hosted an exploratory workshop on Enabling Transitions to Net Zero in Land Use – What Works? which aimed to establish how the research community can support transitions to net zero in land use. A total of 27 Stakeholders and Hub partners participated representing a range of land use sectors and disciplines. Findings from the workshop can be read on the LUNZ Hub website.
