Dan Keech is making a presentation at the Critical Foodscapes conference today, 7th July, at Warwick University. He will be presenting a paper entitled 'Urban Agriculture – charting new democratic governance for food production? The example of Bristol, UK', which was written together with Matt Reed.

Damian Maye has had a paper accepted for publication in Sociologia Ruralis. The paper is entitled 'Examining innovation for sustainability from the bottom up: An analysis of the permaculture community in England'.

CCRI Director, Janet Dwyer, was interviewed on BBC 4’s Farming Today on Friday, 1st July, 2016, about the funding that the UK currently receives from the EU CAP Pillar 2 funding, which is now under threat following the Referendum vote. While researching UKIP attitudes to renewable energy projects in rural Britain, Matt Reed uncovered how social media is being used to promote climate change scepticism. In his latest published paper, he demonstrates how UKIP is part of a wider wave of ‘anti-reflexive movements’, promoting distrust and doubt to further certain political ends.

A paper produced by CCRI providing insights into farmers’ willingness and ability to undertake environmental management has just been published in the Journal of Agriculture and Human Values.
