
Networking and Innovation at the AIS 2017
Julie Ingram was in Portugal last week representing the EU funded VALERIE and AgridemoF2F projects at the Agri Innovation summit 2017 (AIS 2017).

Julie Ingram was in Portugal last week representing the EU funded VALERIE and AgridemoF2F projects at the Agri Innovation summit 2017 (AIS 2017).

Julie is giving a presentation at a mini-symposium in Wageningen today, 4th October, entitled 'Developing effective decision support for managing soil organic matter - stakeholder perspectives', which is based on her research under the EU funded SmartSOil project.

The data collection for the inventory for the EU H2020 Agridemo-F2F project has now commenced and the project team is appealing for farmers in Wales involved in demonstration activities to identify themselves or expect to be contacted by the research team.

Julie Ingram is at the 23rd European Seminar on Extension (and) Education this week in Chania, Crete, where she will be presenting a paper on behalf of a VALERIE team of co-authors from CCRI and Wageningen University.

Matt Reed and Jane Mills attended a plenary meeting of RECARE in Hella, Iceland, from 29th May to 2nd June.

Julie Ingram and Hannah Chiswell recently attended a meeting in Aberdeen for the Agridemo-F2F project (Building an interactive Agridemo–Hub community enhancing farmer to farmer learning), which is looking at best practice in farm demonstration.

The RECARE project has recently completed a review of EU polices on soil protection. In this review, 28 of the most relevant EU policy instruments for soil protection have been examined with respect to their provisions and mechanisms.

Julie Ingram and Damian Maye have had a article published in a new book. “Niche knowledge systems-challenging or invigorating the AKS? An analysis of the Permaculture community in England”, was published in AgroEcological Transitions : Changes and breakthroughs in the making.

Julie Ingram is presenting at the 'Best practices addressing environmental and climate needs' workshop, which has been organised by DG AGRI and the JRC, and is taking place on 23rd-24th March in Brussels.
