COVID-19 presents opportunity to rethink agricultural knowledge exchange

COVID-19 has disrupted the normal way information and advice is shared and accessed in the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS). Researchers from the Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI) and ADAS consulted a range of farmers and other stakeholders about their experiences during the pandemic.

CCRI director gives evidence to EFRA Committee

Last week, CCRI director Janet Dwyer gave evidence to the EFRA Committee last week as part of their inquiry into Defra’s ELM scheme. CCRI had earlier submitted written evidence to the inquiry and was asked for an additional written submission.

SoilCare – Final Conference

The final SoilCare conference will take place on Thursday 24th June from 10:30-15:00 CET with the aim of disseminating the findings of our EU-funded project and inciting discussion surrounding our results and policy recommendations.

SURE-Farm policy booklet published – East of England arable farming

As SURE-Farm is coming to an end, the CCRI released a booklet summarizing the key results and messages from the work conducted since 2017. The booklet reports impacts and recommendations for the social, economic and environmental context of the East of England arable farming system.
