Last week, CCRI director Janet Dwyer gave evidence to the EFRA Committee last week as part of their inquiry into Defra’s ELM scheme. CCRI had earlier submitted written evidence to the inquiry and was asked for an additional written submission.

The final SoilCare conference will take place on Thursday 24th June from 10:30-15:00 CET with the aim of disseminating the findings of our EU-funded project and inciting discussion surrounding our results and policy recommendations.

CCRI Director Janet Dwyer, has become the president of a prestigious long-standing society, UK Agricultural Economics Society which promotes study and teaching within the domains of agricultural, food and related industries, rural society and the environment.

As SURE-Farm is coming to an end, the CCRI released a booklet summarizing the key results and messages from the work conducted since 2017. The booklet reports impacts and recommendations for the social, economic and environmental context of the East of England arable farming system.

At the end of April, CCRI researchers Dan Keech and Matt Reed presented at an online seminar, the footage for which is now available.

Next week a Climate Exp0 is taking place as a warm-up to the UN's COP26 Climate Change Conference. CCRI's Julie Urquhart will be chairing a session related to the Future of UK Treescape's project.

Professor Janet Dwyer, Director of the CCRI, has announced her decision to step down from the Director’s role at the end of this academic year. A recruitment process is underway to appoint her successor.
