On Monday 7th December, Chris Short will be attending the National Common Land Stakeholder Group in Bristol.

Although World Soil Day on 5th December 2015 marks the ending of the International Year of Soils, scientists will still be working to find solutions to protect our soils, including a team from the CCRI.

On the 1 December, the CCRI will be welcoming researchers from the Institute of Agriculture Economics and Information and the Department of Rural Development in the Czech Republic.

There were celebrations yesterday (26 November) at the University of Gloucestershire Awards Ceremony as the first five graduates from the MSc in Sustainable Environments were presented with their postgraduate degrees.

A brochure for the EU funded project SmartSOIL is now available to download. It is available in English, Spanish and Italian.

Dr John Powell was at the ESRC Workshop on ‘New commons – Vision, Practicalities and Application’ on 18 November, where he presented a paper on ‘New Commons in the rural-urban fringe’.

Matt Reed and Chris Short, together with Kenny Lynch and Arran Stibbe of the University of Gloucestershire School of Natural and Social Sciences and School of Humanities, were successful in a bid to the University’s Learning for Sustainable Futures (LSF)…

Professor Janet Dwyer has been invited as a key speaker to attend an International Scientific Conference in Slovakia, taking place at the University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia on 3-4 December 2015.
