Many people make their living from the sea, while many more visit the coast and the sea for pleasure, an esential part of which is angling. Defra has commissioned CCRI, to carry out research finding out more about sea anglers, their ideas and backgrounds, and part of this work is an online survey.
Chris Short and John Powell from CCRI visited the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks last week for a study tour and workshop to explore similarities and differences in upland commons governance and practice between the two countries as part of the 'FUTGRAZE' project. Last year, CCRI researchers had a paper published in a special issue of the journal ‘Space and Polity’. Due to the interest in this special edition, which profiled "the varied contributions of geographical inquiry to scholarly debates on the causes, meaning and implications of the UKs decision to Brexit from the EU", the journal will now be published as a book.
